Trip Itinerary

All of our safaris are fully supported and private. This means more time on game drives and no waiting for other guests. We bring two Landcruisers on every safari. Your camp crew will arrive at the campsite in front of you and everything will be set up when you arrive. Our guests never have to set up tents or help with camp chores. This means you can maximize your time on safari and start early or stay out late on game drives.

Come explore one of the largest and most remote game reserves in the world with our professional guides. This 5 day epic adventure takes you into the heart of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, immersing you into the culture of the 30,000 year old Kalahari Bushmen. Follow in their footsteps as you explore the flat grasslands, vast open plains and riverbeds that this country is known for. Gaze in wonder as you experience first hand some of Africa’s most impressive wildlife, including the giraffe, elephant, rhino, cheetah, and of course the infamous Kalahari lion. Larger than the area of countries like Denmark, our expert guide will help you on your quest to make the most out of your short time here, ensuring that the immensity of this region does not overwhelm. Once we arrive to camp, our 4 days on the reserve will begin to unfold, including breathtaking game drives, tranquil wilderness settings, and an opportunity to interact and learn about the Kalahari Bushmen’s unique way of life. For an unforgettable experience, this 5 day adventure is sure to leave a lasting impression years after you depart.

After an early breakfast, our expedition into the Kalahari Wilderness begins. We spend the day getting to know our guide as they seamlessly navigate the twists and turns of their home country. This region of Botswana does not contain their wildlife with fencing, but rather allows them to roam the plains unfettered. Upon arrival at our campsite, our guide will help set up our home for the next few days and dinner will be prepared, followed by a leisurely evening exploring our new territory and relaxing around the campfire. (1 Night)

After a restful night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, we depart for our first game drive of the tour. The Kalahari is teeming with wildlife, and our first drive of the day should allow us to get up close and personal with some of Africa’s most exotic wildlife. The Kalahari is home to herds of giraffe, wildebeest and springboks, as well as some of Africa’s most fearsome predators such as the cheetah, leopard, and of course the Kalahari lion. Lunch will follow, allowing us the rest of the day to continue our quest for stunning views of nature at it’s finest. We return to our camp for dinner and a campfire, listening to the sounds of the Kalahari as we drift off to sleep. (1 Night)

Our experience continues with another early morning game drive as our fearless tracker uses their inexplicable skills to locate some of Africa’s quintessential wildlife. After a picnic lunch, we take a trip through the wilderness, spotting game on our way to the next stop, where we will interact with the famed Bushmen of the Kalahari. Constantly fighting to keep their land their own, we will learn firsthand what it takes to thrive in this unforgiving environment, and come away with a profound respect for our new friends. A restful evening back at camp awaits. (1 Night)

We continue our journey in Central Kalahari with a final day full of action packed game drives. After a morning viewing, we head back to camp for a Sunday style brunch, soaking in the beauty of our backyard. Our day will conclude with a final game drive at sunset, and a campfire style dinner. (1 Night)

After 3 full days exploring the Kalahari, it is finally time to pack up and head off. We depart with a final glimpse of the Kalahari wilderness, soaking in it’s beauty one final time before our guide safely escorts us back to Maun. Don’t let the adventure stop here though, as Maun is the gateway to more splendors of the African wilderness, including trips to Chobe National Park, the Okavango Delta, and the Moremi Wildlife Preserve. (1 Night)
