Trip Itinerary
All of our safaris are fully supported and private. This means more time on game drives and no waiting for other guests. We bring two Landcruisers on every safari. Your camp crew will arrive at the campsite in front of you and everything will be set up when you arrive. Our guests never have to set up tents or help with camp chores. This means you can maximize your time on safari and start early or stay out late on game drives.
Come join us in an adventure of a lifetime as we explore the Okavango Delta, a true oasis in the heart of Botswana. From our departure point of Maun, we will depart into the heart the Delta, the Moremi Game Reserve, a small yet diverse area where many of the locals still call home. Once introduced to this unique and breathtaking environment, we will continue on to the main life source of the Delta, the Kwai Concessions. Stare in wonder as we take 2 days to explore this diverse habitat of lagoons, reed beds and woodlands teeming with wildlife. Here we may catch a glimpse of giraffes and buffalo grazing along the river, while hippos and crocodiles lurk in the waters. From there, we will follow in the path of the San Bushmen, and continue on to 3 days in Savuti and Chobe Park. See why the nomadic hunters and gatherers of the day were drawn to one of Africa’s largest concentrations of game, and explore the ancient rock paintings of the ancient peoples. On our final day, we will have our last views of this incredible territory as we end with a game drive out to Kasane before we head back to civilization. After seeing some of the most breathtaking examples of nature at it’s finest, you will come to realize just how special the Okavango Delta truly is.
A short drive will take you to Moremi, in the Xiini region of Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Adjacent to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, the only proclaimed wildlife area in the Okavango Delta, the Moremi Game Reserve boasts impressive wildlife, including all major naturally occurring wildlife such as the Black Rhino. It’s breathtaking wilderness, with picturesque views of floodplains, lagoons and grasslands will have you mesmerized long after we arrive at camp. (1 Night)
We start our day in Xakanaxa, where you will depart on a 2 hour boat ride in the traditional dugout canoe, known as a Mokoru. From there, the splendors of the Khwai Concession delight with its diverse beauty comprising of a stunning landscape of forests, lagoons, floodplains and islands teeming with wildlife. Game viewing is excellent year-round as resident species such as the lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, and countless others roam this impressive landscape. (1 Night)
As the Savuti area is vast, your guide will opt for either a full day trip or a combined morning and afternoon drive, depending on where animals are concentrated. The plains are always a highlight and the area is known for its great concentration of predators. We also make a short climb to see some Bushman rock paintings, beautiful vistas from the hill, and are back in camp after sundown. (1 Night)
Since Savuti offers such an array of wildlife and wilderness, we will head out into the area yet again to make absolutely certain no stone goes untouched. Savuti is well known for its’ predators, most notably its’ resident lion and hyena population. Being a private park, our tour will be one of the few that gets to explore the natural wonders, making this an excellent destination to double down in. (1 Night)
Our morning begins with exploration to the Chobe Game Reserve, where we will make an extensive game-drive along along one of the densest populations of game in Africa. Not only do animals such as the antelope and giraffe roam the plains while natural predators like the lion run wild, but this area has one of the largest population of elephants in the world. Our day concludes with a sunset viewing of wildlife drinking from the river, and a campfire where our elephant friends may say goodbye. (1 Night)
We start our day with breakfast, after which we depart on our final morning game drive, soaking in the magnificent Chobe Park one final time before our arrival in the town of Kasane. Boasted as a tourist hub for big game drives and close to the four corners of Africa, Kasane is a great place to end our adventure. We can arrange accommodation, transport to Maun, or get you going on your next adventure!
* This is an optional day. If you need accommodation on first night or after the safari its $65 extra per/night. Please share your arrival details with us after booking so we can arrange your pickup.
